Dong Shan Flower Garden
If this is a flower garden, then the blooms are the lights of Taipei sparkling in the distance. This teahouse and restaurant is set just under the Culture University and most of the workers are students at the university. Sitting at a table here dining on traditional Chinese foods--Braised Tofu, Boiled Shrimps, Fried Rice, Empty Heart Weed with Garlic and more--you get a completely different view of Taipei from what you see in the Shin Kong Observatory. Both views are terrific, but here, you are outside in the elements. A visit here is a wonderful way to spend an evening.
